Rushing around, trying to keep up with the frantic pace of life in today’s world, continuously adding to our already full plates, husbands and wives have a tendency to take their marriages for granted. We invest our time and energy in everything else except our spouses. Then we wonder why our marriages seem to be stalled out, or even worse.
The Laity Lodge Couples’ Retreat gives married couples a time to step back, to rest, to think, and to reflect. It offers hope of renewal and refreshment. This retreat gives husbands and wives time to be together, to enjoy each other in the beauty of God’s creation. Retreat leaders will share biblical wisdom augmented by moving music and open-hearted sharing of real-life marriages.

So in 2010, they sold the farm and figured out a way to sing sweet, soul harmonies through the rest of their lives as The Adventures of Romeo and Juliet. They worked up some 100 love songs and hit the road, celebrating staying together through “the good, the bad, and the ugly” with a self-titled debut CD full of their timeless American Roots Music.
