Did you ever sneak past Laity Lodge whispering “shhhhh…” so not to disturb the Laity guests? Ever wonder what it looked like or what those people were doing? If you are looking for an opportunity to enjoy all the things you loved most about LLYC as a past camper or staff and at the same time want to try the retreat center for “adults,” this weekend is for you. You will enjoy lay witnesses from two staff alumni, rich and deep conversation and interaction with past and current camp staff, and opportunities to explore the Canyon and to enjoy art, power naps, amazing food, and possibly even some group games and skits you won’t forget.
Bring your closest friends with you. This weekend is not just for alumni, so please invite those you think would love camp too!

She holds an M.A. in Mission and Intercultural Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary and is a current Board member of Oasis USA, an organization that works to create pathways to freedom for survivors of human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
Shawn Dunn is the children’s pastor of Antioch Community Church in Waco, Texas, where he has served in that capacity for the past seven years. After college, Shawn joined the LLYC staff full-time for a period of five years progressing from Staff Intern to Assistant Director to Associate Director. In his current work, he oversees children’s ministry for ages birth to 6th grade at his church which averages 600 kids every Sunday. Along with working with children in America, he has the privilege of working with over 100 missionary children all over the world who are serving Jesus alongside their parents.

Paul will start the art workshop by exploring poetry (absolutely no experience required) and then allow those words to inspire visual creations, making use of found objects as well as the ample materials on hand in the 2-D Studio.
