Speaker

Rodney Reeves
Rodney is Dean of the Courts Redford College of Theology and Ministry and a professor of Biblical Studies at Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Missouri. He has two publications currently in the bookstores, A Genuine Faith: How to Follow Jesus Today and collaboratively written Rediscovering Paul: An Introduction to his World, Letters and Theology.

When asked why he enjoys teaching at SBU, Rodney responded that ”College is where I learned to think about the big questions: Who is God? What do I believe? What do I have to give? Therefore, I enjoy trying to give what I have received from my teachers (past and present): to inspire students to think through what they believe and learn what they should do. College students have a passion for life, a sincere desire to learn, and an insatiable appetite for God. Men and women called to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ want to serve the Church and work for His Kingdom. I’m grateful that I belong to a community of learners who want to try to help each other fulfill this noble purpose: to follow Jesus with all that we are.“ Click here to learn more or visit his blog, A Genuine Faith.

Rodney’s teaching will be based on his wonderful new book, Spirituality According to Paul: Imitating the Apostle of Christ (IVP, 2011). He will help us learn from Paul the pastor how to know and follow Christ more deeply.
