After a several-year hiatus, the Couples’ Retreat is back! We’re delighted to welcome Bruce and Carolyn Hindmarsh, who will be sharing from their recent book, At the Feet of Jesus: A Guide to Encountering Christ in the Gospels. Musicians Andy and Jill Gullahorn will lead us in songs that invite both laughter and tears. Together, these gifted guides will help us explore the weekend’s theme:
Jesus often visited the home of his friends Martha, Mary, and Lazarus—a place of ordinary life, full of love, loss, distraction, and devotion. This retreat invites us to “open our homes” to the Lord—not just our physical spaces, but our inner lives. We’ll focus especially on Mary of Bethany, who sat at Jesus’ feet and listened with her whole heart. Her response offers a model of friendship with Christ: attentive, honest, and wholehearted. Wherever you are in life or faith, come be strengthened in hope and drawn deeper into the presence of the One who makes his home with us.
