The Soul of the Artist
We are only able to fully live into what we believe when what we believe is embodied. And it is the artist who most helpfully draws first our attention (and then the rest of our embodied senses) to Goodness, Beauty, and the True—making “straight the highway of our God in the desert,” pointing the way to the City of God.
The artist cares for souls in ways that no one else does. The artist points the way home, especially when the way seems foggy and cluttered (when the rest of us don’t have a clue as to where the map is).
