In Christian tradition, seasons of fasting always lead to
seasons of feasting.
This retreat explored how Lenten practices can shape us to better see (and even love) the everyday contours that define our lives. We discussed what place things like yard work, child-rearing, cooking, and home-making have in our fasts and feasts—and how renewed attentiveness to these daily realities might reshape our loves and re-orient us towards resurrection.
