Food is ubiquitous within the Christian faith (Jesus says he is the Bread of Heaven, and that whoever comes to him shall not hunger, or thirst; and in our lives as a whole (think about how much of your time, money, and heart you give each day to preparing, eating, and cleaning up meals). As such we might take for granted the significant and meaningful role God has made food to play in our lives.
This retreat offered an opportunity to not take these things for granted, and to carefully, creatively, and joyfully see the spiritual significance of food.
