SILENT PRAYER RETREAT
Please note: This retreat differs from a typical Laity Lodge retreat. It will be a silent retreat, with two full days of extended silence. Participants will also attend two sessions of individual spiritual direction. Please enter the lottery only if you are interested in a silent retreat of this kind.

This retreat, guided by spiritual directors, is an opportunity to step away from the noise and distractions of daily life to rest, pray, and listen for God. The experience includes an extended period of silence (two days) and personal spiritual direction.
Here’s a sketch of what to expect:
Thursday
Guests arrive between 4-6. Dinner at 7.
Opening session with Kenny Benge and Ashley Cleveland, including:
Orientation to the retreat
Reflection prompts
Introduction to silence
Liturgical evening prayer
Silence begins after the evening gathering and continues through the next two days.
Friday and Saturday (Silence)
Day spent in silence.
Meals taken in silence.
Solo activities available (e.g., walking trails, journaling, artistic expression, contemplative prayer spaces).
One session of individual spiritual direction each day.
Sunday
Morning gathering for group reflection and sharing.
Celebration of the Eucharist.
Brunch and departure by noon.
