Reconciliation and Truth
Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life; but in an age when the truth is an increasingly contested matter and “post-truth” is too easily accepted, the call for Christians to be people of truth is ever more difficult and pressing. Culturally, we defend our positions and cover over failings, but Christ seeks our truthful confession within the economy of His forgiveness and reconciliation.
In this retreat, Valerie Cooper and Tom Greggs will consider multiple aspects of truth and reconciliation—the prophetic call of the church, the act of confession, racial injustice and reconciliation, and the healing power of forgiveness.
