The life-long rhythm of hearkening to God’s manifold calls upon our lives and responding to them by sounding the depths of His being and purposes in the world.
The Soundings Project, a Lilly Endowment, Inc., initiative led by Baylor University, seeks to enable fifteen diverse congregations in Texas to explore matters of vocation as they develop new ministries. In this retreat, Soundings Project congregations will explore how Christian friendship might animate these efforts. How might becoming friends in and through Christ shape our imagination about the work of the church? How might discerning, accepting, and living into a calling involve the virtues needed for friendship?
