The Gospel of John opens with some essentials for a Christian worldview; deep meaning, deep love, and the embodiment of these in Jesus Christ. David Ford has spent over twenty years relating the Gospel of John to life today resulting in his The Gospel of John: A Theological Commentary. During ten of those years Micheal O’Siadhail was writing his magnum opus, The Five Quintets, which offers a worldview which engages with the arts, economics, politics, science, philosophy, and theology over recent centuries to consider how we can think, imagine, and live in the 21st century. Each was first reader of the other’s work and this is the first time they will reflect together on their works, including those O’Siadhail has written since The Five Quintets.
