Instant Reportage Photography

Our Kerrville offices include an Archive full of old documents, correspondences, brochures, audio recordings, architectural plans, and lots of photographs. There’s something to the experience of thumbing through these old shots of the Canyon and the people who have inhabited it through the years. Inspired by this, we’ve decided to begin adding our own analog photos to the collection.

We’ll keep chronicling the project with digital photos and video too, but this more deliberate approach has proven to be a rewarding change of pace, forcing us to slow down and consider well what we shoot. Below are some recent photos from Cedar Brake (where the Main Cabin is taking obvious cues from the Great Hall), the Lodge guest rooms, Threshold, and some familiar scenes from across the property. Photos by Peyton Perry.
